CMS Built on Mark Logic Makes Its Debut

Mark Logic partner Really Strategies recently released RSuite CMS, a content management system for publishers, and the first content management system built on top of MarkLogic Server.

"We created RSuite CMS by combining our knowledge of publishing technology, XML, and publishing workflows with MarkLogic Server's XML repository and search capabilities," said Barry Bealer, CEO of Really Strategies. "We focused on designing a content management system especially for publishers."

You Say You Want a Revolution? The Future for Content Applications

At a recent web seminar Melissa Webster, program director for IDC, shared research on how the knowledge worker of the future will rely on content applications. For example, enterprises are trying to develop multi-channel publishing systems that aggregate, tag, and repurpose content based on business rules. Other examples include applications that tie content to operational systems like maintenance and repair and applications that incorporate content intelligence such as text analytics into automated business processes.

Also on the seminar was Larry Tunks, Chief Information Officer of Congressional Quarterly, who discussed Legislative Impact, a content application built on MarkLogic Server. By investing heavily in XML and leveraging that rich mark up with MarkLogic Server, CQ has established a leadership position in the online legal information marketplace.
