The New England Journal of Medicine Selects Mark Logic to Deliver New Ways to Search Case Records
The New England Journal of Medicine has implemented MarkLogic Server to launch its Search Case Records, a new way to search the Journal's online section, "Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital."
As the foundation for this new application, MarkLogic Server has made it faster and easier to find precise contextual medical information. The results provide comprehensive case summaries and easy-to-use graphical icons that identify available supplemental content such as lab reports, radiological scans, histopathology slides, and photos associated with a particular case record.
"Mark Logic's fast and extensible solution enables us to refine our queries for particular content types and exploit XML in new ways to help users navigate our information more easily and find the specific materials they need." said Kent Anderson, executive director, international business and product development for the New England Journal of Medicine.

It Was a Very Good Year
2005 was a momentous year for Mark Logic. During the year we expanded our presence with existing customers and added numerous new customers, thereby doubling our customer count to more than 30.
In June we released MarkLogic Server 3.0, including many significant new features, and held an extremely successful User Conference where more than 60 customers and partners joined in a dynamic information exchange.
Throughout the year, we were pleased to receive several industry awards in recognition of our technology leadership. Noteworthy awards are Intelligent Enterprise magazine's "Companies to Watch" list, the EContent 100, and especially winning a "CODiE" from the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) - an award bestowed by a vote of SIIA membership.
As we look ahead to 2006, we'd like to thank our customers and partners who helped make 2005 a great year for Mark Logic.
