What resources are available to help me lern more about XQuery?
-
Our own developer site (http://xqzone.com/) has a tutorial and some sample code, plus a mailing list with archived postings.
Jason Hunter's site (http://xquery.com/) is useful, and also features a mailing list.
The Stylus Studio web site (http://www.stylusstudio.com/) also has a number of food articles and interviews,
including the XQuery Primer (http://www.stylusstudio.com/xquery_primer.html).
There's also the W3C site (http://www.w3.org/XML/Query/), which is the ultimate source of truth.
My content is not in MXL - how do I convert it to XML?
-
Converting arbitrary content to XML used to be a hard problem. With MarkLogic Server and the Content Processing Framework (CPF), though, you can ingest most common file formats by simply dragging a file into a folder. CPF supports MS Office formats, as well as HTML and PDF.
